On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 5th Dietitians’ Quality & Research Convention (DQRC 2026).

Over the years, DQRC has grown into an important platform for MOH dietitians to share innovations, strengthen clinical practice, and translate research into meaningful improvements in patient care. We are also pleased to welcome colleagues from academia, private healthcare, and other sectors who share our commitment to advancing dietetics practice in Malaysia. This 5th edition reflects our continued dedication to strengthening evidence-based dietetics within the public healthcare system, while fostering collaboration across the wider professional communit

With the theme “Dietetics for Quality in Healthcare,” this convention highlights the central role of dietitians in driving quality improvement across hospitals and clinics nationwide. As healthcare demands become increasingly complex, delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred nutritional care remains a shared responsibility. Through clinical audits, research presentations, and quality initiatives, we aim to strengthen service standards and improve outcomes for the populations we serve.

Quality advancement requires collaboration, data-driven practice, and continuous professional development. The scientific programme has been carefully designed to support these priorities and to encourage meaningful exchange among practitioners, researchers, and leaders in dietetics.

We hope this convention strengthens our professional network, sharpens our practice, and reinforces our commitment to excellence in dietetics services within the Ministry of Health.
